BAE Systems Asset Management Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia
Job Description
The Opportunity : Join BAE Systems Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy s Strategic System Program (SSP). We are searching foran Asset Management Specialist on-site a minimum of three days per week or more if workload dictates with excellent hands-on experienceto support the SSP Command Information Officer (CIO).
The Role: As an on-site Asset Management Specialist your primary responsibilities includemaintaining inventory records for IT assets, preparing and maintaining property accountability records as well as conduct property inventories.You will:
Support review and creation of Inventory and Property Accountability policies and procedures
Provide training about Inventory and Property Accountability
Support SPCIO to ensure compliance with Inventory and Property Accountabilitypolicies and procedures
Receive and barcode equipment then enter equipment in the inventory system
Update and prepare records for shipping assets to internal and external organizations
Ensure the inventory system is updated when equipment is removed from service
Generate asset tracking reports as needed by IT leadership for planning and budgeting
Support the tracking and disposition of end-of-life equipment and software
Meet routinely with the BAE and government stakeholders

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
BAE has found that success in this position requires:
A minimum three days/week on-site at the Washington Navy Yard or more if workload dictates
An active DoD Secret Security Clearance; and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer's facility, and a network account in good standing on the customer's network
Experience managing assets
Experience conducting inventory inspections
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with teams and independently
Ability to provide training on policies and procedures
Solid analytical, planning and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Potential for limited (<10%) travel if necessary
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and government officials
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Additional education that will further contribute to your success includes:
- Experience with Navy ERP
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
