Microsoft Corporation Senior Director AI Delivery Execution in Washington D.C., District Of Columbia

The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) AI Delivery team is dedicated to delivering a variety of platform services to our global AI customers. This role requires deep partnerships across Microsoft, as these programs are at the forefront of innovation. You will drive pilots and experiments that shape our commitment to rapidly delivering AI platform services at cloud scale. We are seeking an experienced Senior Director AI Delivery Execution to lead collaborative efforts in optimizing the delivery of critical AI infrastructure deployment projects and GPU-specific data centers, and to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to continuously improving the AI delivery process to minimize solution delivery cycle time and enable scaling across the global AI portfolio. Delivery will be achieved through active process measurement against established OKRs, development of technical engineering requirements for process automation, minimizing variation across key deployment milestones, driving accountability across partner organizations, and removing roadblocks to keep programs on schedule. You will organize, track, and deliver the numerous specific projects that comprise an AI platform service.

  • This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

  • Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

  • This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of Signals: Work seamlessly across various program teams to build a holistic view of the AI platform execution roadmap.

  • Product/Service Definition: Influence design standards for cluster deployment execution programs throughout our server portfolio.

  • Product/Service Development: Deliver and optimize DC Retrofit Services to enable GPU deployments.

  • Product/Service Delivery: Oversee planning and scheduling efforts to establish accurate delivery commitments for the customer.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years people management experience.

  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • MBA with a technology undergraduate degree.

  • 10+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 6+ years people management experience.

  • 2+ years combination of server, network and datacenter operations background.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
