Raytheon is seeking a senior electrical engineer to serve as an on-site technical support resource person as part of an effort to train a Polish industrial partner to build, test, and sustain the Energy Storage Assembly (ESA) component for the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS). The role will work as part of the Poland-based ESA integrated product team (IPT) that is responsible for training and qualifying the Polish industry partner to produce the ESA. This effort is part of Phase 2 of the Poland Patriot “WISLA” program, supporting both Offset and Industrial Participation aspects.

There will also be frequent travel to local integration sites and subcontractor facilities. The goal is to enable the Polish industry partner to independently procure, manufacture, integrate, test, and sustain ESAs for the life of the program, as well as ensure that the Polish industry partner’s ESAs are mechanically and electrically equivalent to the U.S. version.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Role responsibilities will include technical assistance to the resident and flyaway Raytheon IPT Leads, Technical Lead / Hardware Engineer / Subject Matter Expert, Mechanical Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, and the corresponding personnel within the Polish industrial partner and their subcontractors. The IPT’s responsibilities include the transfer of technology and know-how to the Polish industry partner in the form of documentation, instrumentation (hardware and software), training, and other technical assistance.

Responsibilities will also include day-to-day technical aspects supporting the Polish industry partner’s production contract execution, participation in all local and virtual meetings and reviews, assisting local personnel with ESA build, operation, test, analysis, documentation, troubleshooting, dealings with suppliers, and participation/assistance in certain training that will be provided to the industrial partner by the core Raytheon ESA personnel.

The role will include work within the Raytheon Polska organization, collaborating with other functional team members, and supporting Polska leadership on implementing strategy, status, and program direction.

May include ad-hoc support to other IPTs or initiatives within the Raytheon Polska portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience combined in any of the following: Circuit and Component Design, Product Development, Hands on experience with hardware manufacturability, CCA Design and Test, and/or Product Transition to production

  • Proficiency in Polish and English language skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hardware development experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage small projects or processes

  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports

  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components

  • Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs

  • Experience in production environments

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
