You, the Accountant are responsible for accountant tasks for Poland. You will be a key member of the Finance Team, consisting of Manager Accounting, Senior Accountant, 2 Accountants and cash collector. Through direct and indirect partnership contributes to the Country growth. Once fully immersed into your role you'll be responsible for general accounting operations and assist the Finance Team in the month-end close accounting, the monthly reconciliations and financial reporting.

  • Prepare monthly accounts reconciliations and maintain the general ledger

  • Monitor monthly and annual financial accounts according to US-GAAP and local accounting standards, as well as month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).

  • Preparation of tax returns (VAT, CIT, PIT)

  • Support in preparation of a payroll.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • ensuring all financial records are up to date. You'll review and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • processing incoming invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors and suppliers.

  • participating in the monthly financial closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparing financial statements.

  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports, providing insights to management on the company's financial health and trends.

  • communicating with other departments to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and provide financial guidance.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Your education and background experience will include:

  • Minimum 5 year experience in finance

  • Proficiency in Polish, with strong written and oral communication skills, English on communicative level

  • A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (such as local GAAP/UoR), and taxation is essential. Proficiency in bookkeeping, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is expected.

  • Experience in financial management including budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management, is highly desirable. Experience with financial software and systems, such as ERP (Navision, Oracle) software, is an advantage

  • Familiarity with auditing processes and procedures. Experience in conducting internal or external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and implementing internal controls.
