As a member of GE Aviation Field Services engineering team, you will help deliver solutions for field service of GE aircraft engines. In this role you will design, analyze, and evaluate various types of mechanical components. Your primary focus will be on solving field problems in collaboration with customer interfacing teams, overhaul shops and repair engineering. You may participate in a new product introduction or product improvements.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
With guidance execute and conduct design, analysis, and evaluation per engineering standards and procedures to meet the product requirements.
Collaborate with customer interfacing teams, overhaul shops and repair engineering on solving hardware field problems.
Work collaboratively with engineers from adjacent hardware, materials, stress analysis, heat transfer and engine system integration.
Complete documentation of technical data for the assigned projects
Present work results
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or closely related field of Engineering
Knowledge of English language at communicative level
Knowledge of fundamentals of mechanical design & analysis, materials, and manufacturing processes
Focus on learning and self-development
Desired Characteristics
Prior experience in mechanical design, or related field
Knowledge of mechanical analysis software and Unigraphics
Experience in working in cross functional teams
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Basic project management skills
Understanding of fundamentals of aircraft engine design
