The Combustor Aero Design Engineer will perform aerodynamics analysis, design optimization, test & validation, and support combustion development. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting results in technical and program reviews.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Combustor Aero Design Engineer, you will:
Perform aero design using computational fluid dynamics analysis (CFD), 1D flow analysis, hand calculations, support of new engine designs and fielded products.
Support and enhance aero and flow tools.
Define and execute test programs.
Prepare and present technical information to internal and external customers.
Document and communicate aero design, analysis, and test data.
Share engineering information, lessons learned, and promote open dialogue.
Assure proper documentation of technical data for assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
MSc/BSc or PhD in Engineering
Proficiency in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
Strong organization and analytical skills
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Strong oral and written communication skills especially in English
Experience in related Engineering position
Due to export control work type, applications of EU or US citizenship are required
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of aero/flow design and basics of computational fluid dynamic software such as CFX/Fluent, Flow Master/Flow Simulator.
Jet engines architecture knowledge with focus on combustor chambers
Highly motivated, passionate, and exceptional communication skills.
Proven teaming and collaboration skills.
Flexible and friendly approach to working in teams.
