DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:\ The Supply Chain Planner will coordinate the customer forecasts and sales orders and generate a demand plan with accurate master data. In this role you will manage the inventory levels of the raw materials, components, packaging materials, labels and finished goods to support customer demand. You'll develop and maintain standardized play books for customer/product requirements and executes these plans. You'll continually recommend process improvements to achieve company objectives including meeting customer requirements.
Responsibilities:\ * Ensure the required supply of raw materials and components are on hand to meet the production schedule.\ * Evaluate planning processes and operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement.\ * Identify opportunities to reduce inventory and improve turns of components and raw materials\ * Investigate inventory discrepancies and establish corrective actions.\ * Investigate, analyze, and recommend ways to reduce and eliminate slow-moving and obsolete inventory\ * Coordinate material shipments with internal and external customers to meet production deadlines and customer ship dates\ * Monitor and track materials flow to identify bottlenecks and characterize usage\ * Identify, resolve, and forecast problems and potential solutions to inventory and quality
REQUIRED SKILLS:\ Education & Skills Required:\ * Bachelor's Degree required, BS in Supply Chain or Chemistry highly preferred\ * 4+ years' materials planning experience, manufacturing environment a plus\ * ERP experience required.\ * Experience in cGMP manufacturing of FDA-regulated products is preferred.\ * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, and Excel to be able to analyze and report supply and demand of raw materials and components.\ * Organized, efficient, and able to work independently to manage priorities, work load and communicate effectively with vendors and internal & external customers\ * Process oriented with the ability to recognize and implement change
