Due to continued growth in the workload of our successful Water business we currently looking to recruit a UK based Pipeline Civil Engineer.

This is a chance to join a dynamic team, supporting the delivery of a variety of projects across the UK and beyond. Day to day you will be a key part of our specialist Pipeline Engineering team that provides technical expertise in pipeline material selection, pipeline structural design, thrust restraint, pipeline rehabilitation, trenchless technologies, condition assessment of existing pipelines and pipeline construction support.

You can be based anywhere in the UK for this role.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant subject with experience within the water industry. Ideally you would be a Chartered member (or are working towards membership) of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM.

To be successful in this role you will be able to fulfill at some of the following criteria:

  • Essential to have a good understanding of these guidance documents

  • BS 9295:2020

  • CIRIA Report 128

  • Good knowledge of;

  • design procedures for thermoplastics pipes

  • pipeline rehabilitation techniques and design priciples

  • trenchless technologies and design principles

  • Experience of;

  • pipeline condition assessment, including determinations of remaining asset life and its application across a network or catchment-wide basis

  • undertaking research projects with bodies such as UKWIR, CIRIA, etc

  • trunk main and large diameter pipeline design

  • the use of piping design and analysis software such as Autopipe etc
