This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join a small, highly valued operational commercial team as part of a broader capability within Jacobs.

You will provide effective and compliant contracting support to the TC&I business, to support in the delivery of the business plan, ensuring that work tendered and undertaken is on a sound commercial basis and in accordance with commercial policy.

The role is UK office based (Hybrid), with a substantial degree of flexibility in office location. Some travel to other Jacobs’ or client’s offices, is expected.

The role will provide commercial support to:

  • Pre contract commercial activities – Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of contract review documentation, ensuring the commercial robustness of proposals including reviewing contracts (ROMs, offers, NDA, pre-teaming agreements, etc.) and negotiating with clients.

  • Post contract commercial management including building and updating Commercial Plans, sub-contracting, supporting change and variations, and involvement in dispute resolution.

  • Reviewing and supporting various agreements such as JV’s, Consortiums, NDA’s, Bonds and Guarantees

  • Ensuring Commercial Governance and providing commercial guidance to the business

  • Attending Operational Reviews to assess the needs of the Business and Operational Teams for Commercial support.

  • Attending Green Reviews to ensure all risks are covered before submitting an offer.

  • Work hand-in-hand as business partner to the Legal team

  • 360 Stakeholder management

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Must be able to develop and maintain respectful & trusting working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Must have a proven track record in commercial/contract management with in-depth understanding of Commercial Law including:

  • Contractual terms and conditions and other forms of commercial agreements

  • Drafting contracts and subcontracts

  • Good commercial judgment with the ability to understand, argue and negotiate conditions of contract.

  • Commercial risk management

  • Pricing principles

  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities in a challenging environment.

  • Ability to lead and take an active part in meetings and reviews.

  • Ability to work in a team environment in a pro-active and supportive manner.
