As Corporate Payroll Manager, you are primarily responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate preparation of payroll, the payment of all required amounts, and filing of all required forms and regulatory reports. This person will be expected to execute a variety of business-related support tasks, in order to facilitate the effective and efficient operation of both the corporate and business unit payroll teams. This Position... Is under direct supervision of the Corporate Controller. Some examples of the work you might do includes: Manages day to day activities of Corporate Payroll Services, including, but not limited to, the processing of salary payroll, timely payment of federal, state and local taxes and filing of monthly, quarterly and annual forms. Assists business units with resolving pay issues and answering payroll-related questions. Assists with integration and training for acquisitions. Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulatory reporting requirements, and internal control policies. Manages certain tasks related to the completion of the external financial audits, quarterly financial reviews and casualty insurance audits. Maintains accurate records, including, but not limited to, up to date withholding and tax liability rates in Viewpoint and prepares and/or reviews certain general journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Provides input and guidance on unique taxable compensation situations.. Offers ideas and guidance concerning the future state of the Company's payroll processing with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. All other duties as assigned. What You Need... Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance AND 5+ years of payroll related job experience OR 10+ years of relevant, job related experience. Intermediate to advanced level skill with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products. Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences. Must be detail oriented and able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in researching and interpreting payroll laws and regulations. Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Preferred Qualifications: Experience and/or working knowledge of Viewpoint Vista. Experience and/or working knowledge of UKG. Prior experience in a similar (construction) industry. Certified Payroll Professional or related advanced certification. Work Environment: This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and printers. Physical Demands: In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity. This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
