Ultium Cells Boiler Technician in Warren, Ohio
Ultium Cells Overview:
Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintaining boiler systems, overseeing maintenance, enforcing safety protocols, and adjusting controls
• Performing routine maintenance on boilers and associated equipment, and piping systems, burners, and HVAC units
• Keeping service and repair logs, communicating with customers or organizations, performing preventative checks on equipment, and promoting efficiency
• Mechanical skills and systems knowledge to keep boilers functioning properly and ensure the safety of business
• Perform troubleshooting and alignments, adjust parameters
• Complete work orders for advance items
• Mechanical rebuilds (dust collection, gear boxes, pneumatic/hydraulic cylinders)
• Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity
• Preventive and predictive maintenance
• General PMs
• Environmental checks
• Minor building maintenance
• Assist Facilities Maintenance Technicians with status
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Boiler Certification preferred
• Minimum of 8 years related experience in industrial maintenance or Journeyman Card and boiler operation in a manufacturing environment
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word and PowerPoint
