About the Position: You will serve as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist over supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, order fulfillment, or distribution functions in Army Materiel Command (AMC). Responsibilities Assign work to employees and track completion progress. Utilize a partnering approach with the acquisition community to integrate supply and maintenance planning from the initiation of product development to culmination of life. Develop objectives and goals with employees. Formulate organizational plans for functional responsibility by determining requirements, staffing, and budgeting. Oversee employees in at least one of the following functions: supply planning, demand planning, sourcing, procurement, order management, distribution management, or supplier performance. Analyze information to make decisions and achieve functional unit objectives. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Directing, planning, and executing daily activities by aligning proper resources to manage warehouse inventory support; 2) Conducting inventory checks to maintain accuracy and control of equipment and supplies; 3) Developing long-range material support plans; AND 4) Managing items to achieve effective supply support while remaining within authorized budget. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
