Waltonen Software Engineer - Embedded Systems in Warren, Michigan
Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Software Engineer to join our team!
Responsibilities
Responsible for configuring VxWorks, Linux or other embedded operating systems
Perform Linux programming
Develop software documentation
Design and test software
Debug software system
Enable embedded system security
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering (or relevant degree)
Previous experience in board support packages or system/kernel programming in a Linux environment
Experience with vehicle software
Experience troubleshooting software issues
Experience in developing C and C++ code
Experience with designing system software for PPC, Arm, RISC-V or other Intel based platforms
Experience with build environments like Buildroot or OpenEmbedded
Only United States Citizens can be considered
Must possess or be able to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with military vehicle software
Knowledge of military standards
Experience with Ethernet or CAN data bus
DOORS experience
GIT, Bitbucket and/or Confluence experience
