Aston Carter Project Manager in Warren, Michigan
Description:
This Project Manager will use knowledge of vehicle acquisition program(s) to provide services including administration support, project management, and technical development support.
Will provide recommendations and technical advice in compliance with applicable statutes and regulations. Must adhere to quality standards and reviews for project deliverables.
Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and shall provide a single point of contact for those projects. Will take projects from original concept through final implementation, and will interface with the organization and its customers in all areas of the project.
Will define the project scope and objectives based on organizational requirements; and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Will conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
Analyze information and data, and assess progress of programs, projects, and processes. Provide guidance to the project team and recommend solutions to organizational leadership. Organize, manage, and present information, to include oral recommendations.
Administrative tasks include: preparing, reviewing, and storing the following in government system- agenda, briefings, papers, tasks, minutes, calendars, action items, and other program related documents. Prepare required presentation materials for on-site and off-site events.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must haves:
1) Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in project management for a Department of Defense program.
2) Background and knowledge of planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking, and reporting on complex programs.
3) Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred:
Experience in project management of ground combat vehicle systems.
Degree in Project Management/Business Management/Business Administration
