Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) Project Management Specialist in Warren, Michigan

About the Position: The Project Management Specialist serves as the principal advisor and consultant on management and administrative services to the Directorate. Responsibilities Provides executive direction, assistance and support for all operations and activities of the Directorate. Coordinates all operational and administrative functions for the organization. Performs broad and complex studies across organizational and functional lines on a variety of projects, issues, and problem cases. Works with higher headquarters on administrative requirements. Advises the command group, supervisors, and management personnel on a variety of administrative programs such as personnel, man-power management and DoD Performance Management and Appraisal Program. Ensures compliance with regulations and local procedures for use of command limited access facilities and classified rooms. Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience to include: (1) Identifying problems to ensure program initiatives are meeting expectations; (2) Developing plans and objectives for assigned projects; and (3) Reviewing actions for incoming and outgoing correspondence and messages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Problem Solving Project Management Quality Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
