Aerotek Maintenance Technician - Warren in Warren, Michigan

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Candidates will be working in the main Assembly Plant in Warren, MI. They will be the only Maintenance Tech on 2nd shift. The primary responsibility is to keep the assembly line moving efficiently and smartly, especially when troubleshooting. The assembly lines mold the mirrors and assemble them before dispatching to the customer, which includes major automotive companies and EV customers. Sepro and Fanuc Robots are present on every cell. Shift time is from 2pm to 1:30am, with training provided during the day in Marysville for 2-3 weeks. The work schedule is 4x 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with an additional 8-hour shift on Fridays when production increases, amounting to 40-48 hours per week.

Hard Skills

  • Use of power tools

  • Light electrical troubleshooting on 480V

  • Replacing plugs and checking sensors

  • Reading and hooking up volt meters

  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of motors and gears

  • Performing preventative maintenance, including changing oil and fixtures

  • Troubleshooting pneumatic screen guns

  • Adjustments and replacement of assembly components

  • PLC Troubleshooting and connecting laptops to PLC for engineering diagnostics

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Warren, Michigan.

Work Environment

This is an extremely large, bright, and organized facility. It is very clean and semi-loud, requiring close proximity to colleagues for communication. There are 1100 total employees across 3 shifts and 9 maintenance technicians in the paint plant. The maintenance area is large and clean, equipped with AC, a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The facility complies with TS16949 Standards and adheres to 5S standards.
