About the Position: Serves as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist and Team Leader overseeing Total Package Fielding (TPF) programs. Responsibilities Serve as a Senior Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) and command expert for US Army TACOM with responsibility for managing all aspects of documenting equipment and MOS authorizations. Provides program oversight to assure timely development of the entire Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning program. Manages the development of the Basis of Issue Plan Feeder Data (BOIPFD) and Manpower Requirements Criteria (MARC) Maintains visibility and status of BOIPFD, ASIOE, and Component Major Items (CMI) and ensures compatibility of BOIP/SSN files with both Materiel fielding Plans (MFPs) and data interchange. Manages, directs and monitors equipment and MOS authorization development, type classification/reclassification activities, and the documentation of materiel supportability and acceptability for use. Coordinates with appropriate activities on all associated actions involving configuration control, engineering or re-engineering requirements, developing Statements of Work (SOWs). Plans and establishes both current and long-term objectives for assigned area. Ensures the development and execution of policies and procedures to accomplish the assigned mission. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2 This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army Employees) applying for a temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
