About the Position: Serves as Team Leader in the Managerial Accounting Division. Provides full range of advisory/analytical, and financial assistance pertaining to planning. Responsibilities Provides daily expert guidance and leadership regarding knowledge in GFEBS ERP. Coordinates the reporting, validation, compilation, and submission of GFEBS Joint Reconciliation/Review Programs, zeroing out cancelling year funds, and reducing/resolving all outstanding unliquidated obligations. Communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and timeframes for completion. Lead the team in: identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. Make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role. Arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects. Review completed work to monitor and report on the status and progress of work. Participate in formal briefings to provide accounting advice and assistance when needed. Assures proper review, coordination and action for resolution between DFAS, customers, fund managers, fund holders, acquisition/contracting to assure financial accuracy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
