Element Materials Technology Facilities Technician (HVAC) in Warren, Michigan
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Facilities Technician (HVAC/Mechanical) , who is responsible for the safe and ongoing maintenance and repair of our Metro Detroit buildings and equipment. This role will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various HVAC systems, cascade refrigeration systems for environmental chambers in our testing environment. In addition to HVAC systems, we are also looking for experience and knowledge in general plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair various HVAC systems, cooling towers, cascade refrigeration systems for environmental chambers in a testing environment
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and controls
Perform general plumbing and mechanical maintenance and repair tasks
Install new HVAC and mechanical systems as needed
Monitor and maintain HVAC inventory and supplies
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Skills / Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience in HVAC systems and general plumbing and mechanical systems
Strong knowledge of HVAC cascade systems for environmental chambers
EPA certification Universal preferred
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines
