Waltonen Design Checker - Tooling (NX) in Warren, Michigan
Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Design Checker to join our team! As a Design Checker, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and scrutinizing design documentation to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Examine engineering CAD models, drawings, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and sound design
Interact daily with Designers and Detailers regarding CAD models/drawings
Identify errors and corrections needed - ensuring that designs conform to customer specifications
Regularly use NX CAD software to open, manipulate, and modify specific files
Provide feedback and address any issues promptly
Qualifications
Prior experience in checking designs within the automotive, defense, or aerospace sectors is highly desirable
Ability to communicate constructively and professionally with team members
Demonstrated work history checking CAD models in NX
Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated work history in automotive BIW tooling
Checking experience utilizing Unigraphics/NX
Previous CAD modeling experience is a plus
Exposure to Teamcenter, a product lifecycle management (PLM) system, is a plus
