Program Summary

This position is in support of an Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract (IAC MAC) sponsored by the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). Under the IAC MAC contract vehicle, an IAC MAC Task Order was established to address Reliability, Maintainability, Quality, Supportability, and Interoperability (RMQSI) issues related to systems acquisition and sustainment for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Engineering Directorate (EZ). The objective of this task order is to provide research, analysis, fabrication, engineering, and development to identify and address Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS); perform software analysis and information assurance; and identify and recommend solutions to RMQSI issues for systems, subsystems, and components of AFLCMC managed aircraft.

Job Summary

This position is in support of the Air Force Supply Chain Management community, providing reverse engineering, engineering analysis, prototyping, and testing activities for a variety of aircraft parts and systems. The candidate will work as part of an integrated project team consisting of KBR and Air Force personnel to solve issues with component reliability, maintainability, obsolescence, and sources of supply. Solutions entail failure analysis activities, design and creation of prototypes, testing, and validation of Air Force technical data.

Job Description

The KBR GSUS DSE team located in Warner Robins, GA is looking for looking for a highly motivated and dynamic project manager to support projects supporting the United States Air Force Supply Chain. This is a senior level project manager position. In this position, the project manager may be required to manage multiple projects with multiple teams, or a single large project with a large team depending on project value. Lead the project planning at project onset, manage project progress by setting deadlines, solve issues, manage budgets, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and review project performance and milestones throughout the entire project life cycle. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring lower- level project managers and participating in business development opportunities. This project manager is a disciplined self-starter with strong organizational, time management, comprehension, and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the overall performance of all projects assigned, including the management of the cost, schedule, scope, and communication with direct stakeholders (internal Program Managers and external customer project lead), customer expectations and project deliverables.

· Projects are often complex in nature and highly visible.

· Able to perform all conventional aspects of project management with minimal supervision but with Senior Leadership oversite.

· Coordinate efforts and maintain effective working relationships with Government Customer Leadership and technical leads.

· Organize and lead internal meetings to support project execution and mitigate potential issues.

· Brief customer and KBR leadership on projects progress on a regular basis. Briefing to include project performance against the schedule, financial standing, risk and risk mitigation strategies and upcoming milestone activities.

· Perform financial forecasting of projects and ensure financial goals are being met.

· Under the direction of senior leadership, assist with the development of documentation to support proposals and authors Statements of Work for subcontractors.

· Manage subcontractor on-boarding and execution, deliverable submission, cost/schedule/performance, and closeout activities.

· Assists senior leadership with the development of long-term strategic plans for growth and implementing processes and operating systems that create strategic differentiators.

· Responsible for leading Multiple-disciplined, Cross-functional teams, potentially in a virtual environment.

· May Supervise employees to include timecard approval, performance reviews, hiring actions.

· Under the direction of senior leadership, provides guidance and training on the Project Management methodologies (based on the Project Management Institute) to new project managers. Identify and recommend the implementation of Project Manager processes, process improvements, and needed skills development for Project Managers.

· Promotes adherence to documented project management best practices. Participates in periodic project inspection and may assist in recovery of troubled projects where changes to planning artifacts are necessary.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Business Administration/Management from an accredited institution.

· Minimum ten (10) years’ related experience in technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and/or administration of government projects.

· Must be a US Citizen

· Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.

· Demonstrate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project

· Demonstrate knowledge of the creation of work breakdown structure, schedule development and schedule maintenance, budget development and budget forecasting, Earned Value Management, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

· PMP Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) in good standing recommended.

·Advanced degree recommended but not required

Other Details:

·Must obtain PMP certification within 6 months of position acceptance.

· Full time, 80% on site, remote 20% (Hybrid)

· Travel will be required, 20% time.

· Candidate must have effective verbal and written communication skills; must be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences or facilitate group discussions; develop accurate written materials to communicate information clearly and concisely.
