Project Procurement Lead
ATS Scientific Products is searching for a Project Procurement Lead to join the team!
The Supply Chain Team member, works at the cross-segment level on major projects (Project TCC budgets in excess of $0.5M); acts liaison between suppliers, design engineers, and Supply Chain to achieve project sourcing timing and cost goals and objectives
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assigned to work with division PPLs and SC teams to drive savings on key projects
Performs pre-project and project kick-off budget analysis; identifies and drives FOETB and TCC savings achievements
Uses a cross-segment view to ‘bundle’ supplier engagement for leverage
As a key member of new product design teams, advise the project regarding supplier capabilities to achieve technical and lowest cost compliant solutions
Develop appropriate levels of cross-divisional coordination and cooperation to maximize shared project savings opportunities and consistent supply strategy
Act as a mentor to divisional PPLs; assist in set-up of cost tracking, template usage, savings funnel reporting for major projects
Maintain a universal focus on vendor technologies to enable low-cost design and facilitate a collaborative working relationship between design engineers and suppliers
Engage multi-segment suppliers early in the project life to gain their appropriate technical input into product solutions
Develop, maintain, and communicate preferred supplier and parts lists to drive selection of common parts and design features across multiple projects.
Develop and cascade product material cost and contract labor cost metrics methodology for projects and achieve or exceed project cost and savings requirements, working with local divisional SCM resources and PPLs
Adhere to all ISO procedures and departmental policies and procedures.
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
PMAC or equivalent. A degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
MBA is an asset.
PMP certification is an asset.
Experience:
A minimum of two years at the division PPL role
A minimum of three years of design, purchasing or manufacturing engineering experience; custom manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience of developing and applying a project material sourcing and procurement plan.
Sound working knowledge of Excel, Word and other MS Office software. Ability to effectively manage large data files derived from ERP systems.
Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work and interact effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Good Project Management skills.
