The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Maintenance Stationary Engineer at Montana State Hospital. * *Maintenance Stationary Engineersare responsible for maintaining a watch on all low-pressure boilers on Campus; maintaining all related boiler room equipment; monitoring a variety of Hospital equipment such as refrigeration systems, heating systems, fire alarm systems, and diesel fuel tanks; and sterilizing medical waste. * * Why Join DPHHS Our mission at DPHHS is to serve Montanans in their communities to improve and protect the health, safety, and well-being, and to empower independence. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity: * * * * Ability to test and analyze operation of steam boilers and auxiliary equipment. * Strong working knowledge of the principles of boiler operations and safety. * Strong working knowledge of heating plant operations. * Strong working knowledge of state laws and regulations governing boiler operations. * Must be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools (electric and pneumatic). * Must be proficient in use of auxiliary equipment used for boiler operations. * Ability to learn basic computer skills to adjust heat and cooling set points. * Meet the following minimum qualifications: o High School diploma or equivalent. o Must have a Montana 3rd Class Boiler license. * * *How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
