The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as an Eligibility Specialist at Montana State Hospital. The Admission/Discharge Manager is responsible for coordinating the admission and discharge of patients to Montana State Hospital. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity: * * Extensive knowledge of professional, ethical, and evidence-based standards of practice for healthcare professionals in different disciplines and for operation of a healthcare facility. * Strong working knowledge of clinical methods and best practices. * Ability to review and apply statues, administrative rules and hospital policies. * Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. * Ability to analyze, assemble and organize information. * Understanding of individual and team approaches of treatment and therapy for mental health disorders. * Ability to compose and provide information in the form of reports and complete clinical documentation. * Meet the following minimum qualifications: o Bachelor degree in Psychology, Social Work, or directly related healthcare field required. + Relevant and recent (within 5 years) experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis. o 2 years experience working in a mental health psychiatric or social service support setting required. o 2 years experience in a supervisor or manager capacity required. *How to Apply *To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
