Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations Finance, this position provides comprehensive finance support to enable delivery of productivity commitments for the $3B Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD). The position will directly support the Sr. Director of PPI Business System, CMD.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop meticulous, standardized, and transparent financial reporting of all key productivity metrics enabling operational execution of company objectives

  • Support operations leadership with analyses and reports on their performance measurements around factory productivity (i.e. material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption)

  • Analyze productivity project funnels and assess likelihood of delivering net productivity objectives

  • Provide reporting & analytics for Productivity Lost metrics (Excess & Obsolete inventory, scrap, warranty, freight) and develop forward-looking models that enable the business to mitigate risks proactively

Planning and Forecasting:

  • Drive connectivity and alignment between business unit profitability objectives and operations site level productivity targets

  • Own the productivity forecasting processes including strategic plan, annual operating plan, and ongoing forecasts in support of corporate requirements

Business Partnership & Leadership:

  • Apply continuous improvement tools with the ability to apply outside/in thinking that advances the organization’s finance agenda

  • Act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership and create an environment to both challenge and support operations team members with sound financial guidance and strategic insights

  • Effectively partner and align with Business Unit finance teams

  • Elevate the team’s business partnership by applying robust financial models and analysis to drive efficiency across total operations


  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required; MBA strongly desired

  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience with management experience inclusive of finance leadership role(s) and operations finance expertise

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Consistent track record delivering exceptional results through strong business partnership and driving results beyond the finance function

  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with all levels of management

  • Interpersonal effectiveness and relationship building

  • Proven ability to effectively lead and perform in a matrix environment and across diverse global organizational structures

  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong systems and data analytic capabilities including HFM, SAP, Power BI, & Tableau

  • Ability to travel when needed and use technology to drive continuous engagement with operations and business unit partners

  • Must possess a strong set of personal and business values that align with those of the 4is
