Veralto Senior Financial Analyst – Lease Accounting, Technical Accounting, and SEC Reporting in Waltham, Massachusetts

As the Senior Financial Analyst specializing in lease accounting utilizing Lucernex, you will play a pivotal role in managing lease-related financial activities, ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards, and supporting SEC reporting requirements. This multifaceted role requires a strong grasp of technical accounting principles and the ability to contribute to accurate and timely SEC filings. This role will have exposure across the organization and be critical in helping meet Veralto’s financial reporting goals. It will also have the ability to engage in other special projects.

This position will be part of the Finance and Accounting Team located in Waltham, Massachusetts, and will be hybrid.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Lease Accounting (Lucernex):

  • Manage lease data input, validation, and maintenance within Lucernex software.

  • Oversee lease accounting processes, including calculations for straight-line rent, lease liabilities, and asset amortization in accordance with ASC 842.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of lease-related financial information.

  • Provide consultation to the OpCos on lease accounting treatment.

  • Technical Accounting:

  • Provide guidance and support on complex technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and applicable accounting standards.

  • Assess the accounting implications of new transactions, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations, and divestitures.

  • SEC Reporting Support:

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing SEC filings, such as 10-Qs and 10-Ks, but not limited to those filings, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion.

  • Contribute to the development of disclosures related to lease accounting and other technical accounting matters within SEC filings.

  • Process Enhancement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Participate in the implementation of system enhancements or updates related to lease accounting and financial reporting.

  • Compliance and Controls:

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements related to lease accounting, technical accounting, and SEC reporting.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 2-4 years of experience with lease accounting with a strong understanding of ASC 842 and lease accounting principles. Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and their application in a corporate environment.

  • Experience supporting or auditing the SEC reporting processes, including familiarity with 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other SEC regulations.

  • CPA (or equivalent certification) and experience with the Lucernex application would be beneficial

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $83,000 - $105,000 USD per year.

This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
