ElevateBio Lab Manager, Regenerative Medicine in Waltham, Massachusetts

Title: Lab Manager, Regenerative Medicine

Location: Waltham, MA

Reports to: Associate Director, Regenerative Medicine

The Role:

ElevateBio is actively recruiting a lab manager for the Regenerative Medicine Team . This individual will report to the Associate Director, Regenerative Medicine and will work closely with both our science and operations team to support the general operations and organization of the Regenerative Medicine R&D lab.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee lab inventory management

  • Purchase lab consumables and identify alternates where appropriate.

  • Maintain lab inventory and organization to optimize lab operations.

  • Maintain records of lab inventory.

  • Coordinate incoming shipment of critical materials.

  • Familiarize with lab equipment to interact with scientists, external service providers, and vendors on troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.

  • Function as a liaison between iPSC team and internal/external teams for procurement and servicing.

  • As an iPSC equipment owner, work with Basecamp Lab Services to coordinate/schedule equipment installation, qualification, calibration, repair, and PM to minimize equipment down-time.

  • Assist with budget management for lab operations and capital asset budget.

  • Regularly interact with scientists to identify and address workflow bottlenecks.

  • Provide lab orientation and assist in onboarding new scientists.

  • Enforce safety practices and good lab hygiene to ensure alignment with EHS and Basecamp’s operations

  • Assist IT in addressing RegenMed team’s network and data integration needs.

  • Maintain good relationship with sales rep and technical specialists.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline desired.

  • 5+ years of facilities or lab management experience in a biotechnology or biomedical research setting required. Industry experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in handling routine laboratory chemicals and biological materials.

  • Experience overseeing lab safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

  • Ability to perform physical demands of the role, including lifting moderately heavy boxes, prolonged standing, etc.

  • Exceptional organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and familiar with LIMS, SAP, RAMS

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

  • Demonstrate initiative and independence – proactively identifying and addressing areas for improvement to optimize lab workflow and increase efficiency.

  • Adaptability (pivoting and re-prioritizing) is needed in our face-paced and dynamic work environment.

  • Authorized to legally work in the US.
