This role is part of the Chromatography & Spectrometry Division (CMD) and will be reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager.

The Financial Analyst – Sales Compensation will support a $0.6B+ Region and is responsible for calculating, analyzing and reporting variable sales compensation for our sales and sales adjacent teams. This role supports the Sales, Finance, and Accounting teams in structuring, delivering and analyzing all compensation plans for our commission driven employees. This role is responsible for the timely delivery of accrual reporting, the accurate calculation of commission payments, and the auditing of various metrics to ensure a high level of data integrity. This individual is also responsible for the maintenance of the Xactly compensation system and for generating analysis around compensation plan attainment and performance.

This is a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment that requires the ability to multitask and meet deadlines, superb analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with others within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate commission/incentive award payments to sales personnel based on commission plan provisions

  • Support the activities needed for the development, implementation, communication and administration of sales commission or incentive programs, plans, policies and quotas

  • Design and Buildout Enhancements to the Xactly commissions software tool

  • Reviews commission system reports for accuracy and completeness

  • Work cross functionally with other departments to ensure the timelines and completeness of pay amounts and accounting treatment

  • Work with partners to research and resolve commissioning issues, providing timely and courteous assistance

  • With each new quota period, participate in rolling out new plans, including plan and systems design, training, and updating policies and processes

  • Generate internal documentation on compensation plans, reporting guidelines and compensation related FAQs and manage employee inquiries

  • Build and maintain meaningful and insightful analytics around sales compensation

  • Proactively find opportunities for change, operational improvement, and system enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting

  • 3+ years of strong analytical experience in financial planning, business analysis, compensation/ commissions reporting

  • Advanced skills of Microsoft Excel

  • Salesforce experience is preferred

  • Programming experience is preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization

  • Can-do attitude and ability to positively implement change

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Well organized with strong time management skills

  • Possess the ability to work independently to identify, analyze, and solve business problems while operating as part of a larger team
