Position: Financial Analyst III - Corporate Infrastructure & Security (CIS)

How you'll make an impact

The Financial Analyst will partner with the Director, Finance and Manager, Finance - Corporate Infrastructure & Security to drive Thermo Fisher Scientific's financial planning and analysis across our CIS team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of finance experience and a proven track record as high potential talent demonstrating drive, ambition, financial and analytical acumen, and emotional intelligence.

The Financial Analyst will partner with the Corporate Infrastructure & Security (CIS) Finance leadership team and bring strong capabilities in financial planning and analysis, trend identification, and insight generation to support impactful reporting, along with effective process management. The Financial Analyst will link to finance colleagues across the Global IT Finance team to ensure alignment financially and around core deliverables for Corporate FP&A.

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for four main components:

Providing financial planning and analysis support to the Corporate Infrastructure & Security (CIS) and the Global IT Shared Service organizations around monthly/quarterly reporting, and planning/forecasting mechanisms. Developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly forecasts; conducting variance analysis; preparing AR financials and other ad hoc analysis. Completing key month-end close processes and post-close reporting for operating expenses and capital spending. Delivering process improvements to drive efficiency and customer ease of use.

  • Financial Domain : Proficiency in the following areas: financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, process controls, and accounting knowledge.

  • Process Acumen : Excellent skills with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, along with Oracle, HFM, and COGNOS.

  • Adaptability : Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams from different areas and drive continuous process improvement in daily activities.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
