Robert Half Financial Analyst in Waltham, Massachusetts

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Compliance Analyst in Waltham, Massachusetts. This role is primarily focused on handling tax requests for both domestic and international contexts, dealing with regulatory procedures, and managing financial information related to sales taxes, state registrations, and various forms of insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Handle tax requests for both international and domestic contexts

• Engage in slight audit activities

• Manage insurance-related matters such as Workers' Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, Paid Family Leave, Disability Leave Pay, and global coverage

• Understand and work with international and domestic regulatory procedures

• Handle Federal and State mandates

• Apply slight banking Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable knowledge

• Handle state registration withdrawal, revokes, reinstates, and clearances for Secretary of State and Department of Revenue

• Work with renewal, annual reports, and tax quarterly estimates for both domestic and international contexts

• Manage all sales taxes related to domestic and international reporting

• Handle state and global census, bureaus, and surveys

• Monitor state and global provinces registration with third parties

• File monthly and quarterly returns

• Assist with onboarding customer forms and inquiries

• Assist with shareholder information

• Handle tax residence certificates, cost of goods sold, incorporations, tax forms, and jurisdiction compliance

• Reconcile sales and use tax for remittances

• Utilize multiple Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

Skills:

• Compliance

Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field

• Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role

• Strong knowledge of financial databases and software

• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications

• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages

• Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills

• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis

• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments

• Excellent understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• High level of integrity and professional ethics

• Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
