Assist in the company’s consolidation and external SEC financial reporting processes, including the preparation and tie-out of financial statements and footnote disclosures (10-Qs and 10-Ks) in accordance with applicable SEC and GAAP requirements. Also assist with the review of certain Investor Relations deliverables (i.e. earnings releases and presentations) and with the administration of Workiva, the software used to generate our SEC Filings (including XBRL).
The Candidate will have the opportunity to:
Be a key contributor in the consolidation and preparation of RTC’s financial statements (10Ks and 10Qs) as well as the quarterly earnings release,
Assist in the SEC reporting processes to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and standards in the preparation of all SEC Filings,
Prepare supporting documentation related to the financial statements, footnote disclosures and management discussion and analysis,
Perform various detailed financial analysis of major income statement and balance sheet components,
Assist in procedures performed to ensure the Company complies with XBRL requirements,
Interact with the business units, FP&A and IR while gathering data for quarterly analysis and external reporting,
Review and validate external communication’s quarterly earnings releases and presentations to analysts, investors, or other external audiences
Participate in the annual financial audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors including preparation of detailed schedules,
Work with Corporate Center of Excellence to support Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) used in consolidations Reporting process and for other financial reporting requirements,
Complete and document certain controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley,
Assist in the analysis of competitor’s SEC filings and SEC comment letters,
Prepare various 11-K filings required for the company’s savings plans, and
Coordinate with RTC Business Units to perform analysis & preparation of other governmental and regulatory reports
Experience with public company accounting / financial reporting matters through either public accounting experience or industry experience.
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize workload.
High attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
Sound analytical, problem identification, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to flexibly work and learn in a fast-paced, changing, team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Required Experience and Education
- This position typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience in accounting / finance roles.
