Weatherford OPTICAL TECHNICIAN in Wallingford, Connecticut
The Optical Technician, will assist with the manufacturing and testing of various fiber optic and electrical components within a manufacturing environment, including mechanical assembly. Must be able to perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor or manager within the physical constraints of the job.

OPERATIONS
Manufacture, assemble and test various fiber optic and electrical components
Identify non-conforming material
Follow instructions to maintain workflow in accordance with process cycle process times.
Perform intricate procedures during product assembly process
COMMUNICATION
Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience
Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential

Experience & Education
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent
Mechanically Inclined Assembly Experience
1+ years of related experience in fiber-optic and/or electronic assembly
PREFERRED
- Fiber Optical Assembly Experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
- Good computer skills and Microsoft knowledge
