Description The staff Athletic Trainer functions under the supervision of the rehabilitation leadership team and the department director. The Athletic Trainer provides direct patient/client care under the general supervision of a designated licensed healthcare provider ultimately responsible for the specific patient/client. The staff Athletic Trainer assumes responsibility and accountability for providing evaluation and treatment established in conjunction with a designated licensed healthcare provider as determined by a plan of care and in accordance with scope of practice, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, all while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training. upon hire: Washington Athletic Trainer License. upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Preferred qualifications : Master's Degree. 1 year Professional experience in one or more of the following: sports injury, high school/college athletics, sports medicine, or physical therapy.
