Job Description

Purpose

This position is responsible for overseeing all installation, modifications and/or upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting activities (coordination of complex repairs) and upkeep operations of the production equipment. In addition, scheduling and overseeing the maintenance technicians and ensure they have all required tools to do their job safe and efficiently. Ensure maintenance operations are done in accordance with site procedures, policies and in compliance with GMP standards. Provide support as an SME for any internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the reliability and continuous improvement of the automated production equipment in manufacturing.

  • Establish baseline equipment capabilities and work to improve those capabilities. Identify constraints in the automated manufacturing flow and eliminate or improve those constraints to achieve a balanced process flow.

  • Identify and minimize factors that contribute to manufacturing defects.

  • Work with the manufacturing supervisors to implement identified process improvements.

  • Implement new equipment and modifications and follow-up to ensure the desired result is achieved.

  • Provide training to staff on use or maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

  • Support the manufacturing mechanics with advanced troubleshooting.

  • Support validation efforts in the development of validation strategies and testing plans.

  • Support the Change Control process for all validated systems.

  • Responsibility for supervising the daily activities of employees by providing training, direction, guidance, counseling or disciplinary action when necessary, and, in conjunction with HR, makes decisions regarding personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.).

  • If assigned, responsible for the success of one or more areas and shifts.

  • Develop detailed project elements for scope, schedule and cost.

  • Prepare cost, feasibility and capital cost estimates and prepare justifications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or related field of study. A technical degree (Engineering or Science) is preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in Maintenance or Production. At least 5+ years of prior experience in area(s) of Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, development process engineering experience is preferred.

  • Prior supervision experience is preferred.

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills are required.

  • Knowledge of basic regulatory requirements.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​

Salary: $103,500 - $197,000
