The Nursing Services Administrative Assistant IV performs moderately-complex administrative support and/or technical program assistance work. This position supervises and trains administrative support staff and technical program staff engaged in various activities pertinent to the planning and execution of the program or administrative projects; serves as Contract Manager for Nursing Services; assists in the preparation of presentations; assists with the development, monitoring, and preparation of the departmental budget; responds to routine and non-routine inquiries regarding rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; develops, coordinates, and maintains record keeping and filing systems; and monitors the condition and repair of furniture for the Nursing Services units and orders new furniture as needed. Works under the general supervision of the Assistant Nurse Executive and Chief Nurse Executive, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the patient care unit. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.
