The CTD Director is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the CTD Department and all activities to ensure staff are appropriately oriented, trained, and competent in their required skills for each staffed position at the facility. Responsibilities include planning, program design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all facility training programs; analyzing training needs; preparing materials; and coordinating training sessions. The CTD Director ensures there are sufficient class offerings to ensure expected facility training compliance, as well as continuing education opportunities. The CTD Director supervises staff in the CTD Department. Completion of work requires originating new techniques, establishing criteria, or developing new information of a complex nature with decisions that are varied but based on broad principles and guidelines. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the patient care unit. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.Essential Job Functionsand#149; Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift, and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy.and#149; Campus-wide responsibility for the CTD Department. Completion of work requires originating new techniques, establishing criteria, or developing new information of a complex nature with decisions that are varied but based on broad principles and guidelines. Ensures the SHs meet the required training compliance of 95%; required classes are sufficiently offered and scheduled for the necessary number of hours, conducted, and cover the required curriculum requirements; development of training programs for facility policies and procedures to ensure staff comprehend, are trained to competence according to job duties and function, and are able to implement on the job.
