The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced cook and driver to our Community Meals team in Waco, TX. As a cook and driver, you will have the opportunity to prepare delicious food and transport it to a variety of locations as needed.

What you'll be doing:

  • Performing food preparation and production tasks while following recipes and safe food handling policies and procedures.

  • Ensuring proper portion and temperature control and proper storage of leftover food.

  • Loading and transporting food products from one location to another according to an assigned schedule.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.

  • Ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment and tools, as well as to identify and differentiate food items.

  • High-level product knowledge and the ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • A valid state driver’s license for the vehicle used for transport.

  • At least one years’ experience in a high volume establishment with an emphasis on cooking from scratch.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Food Handler’s certification.

Compensation:

$15 per/hr
