Shift: Monday – Thursday / 5:30am-3pm & Friday/ 5:30am-9am

Anticipated hourly range : $15.40-$21.10 per hour (includes shift differential)

The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

What Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health

Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications. Quality Control is responsible for the analysis or inspection of materials, components, products or processes for compliance with specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

· Performs all tasks in a manner which complies with applicable local, state, and federal laws and with the company’s environmental health and safety standards and programs as well as its commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

· Assist with training department staff.

· Responsible for inventory counts in areas Quality Assurance is responsible for; process return vendor forms.

· Inspects and tests samples of raw materials and product in prescribed phases of production to verify acceptable quality.

· Maintains proper and accurate documentation in all stages of inspection including non-conformity reports for defective product or incorrect materials.

· Implements corrective action plan as directed when quality problems are detected.

· Maintains a product retention file for specified products; maintains maintenance schedule for test equipment and ensures compliance to schedule.

· Communicates with QE changes to guidelines as they pertain to quality.

· Assist QE to perform quality investigation such as Non-Conforming Material, Customer Complaints and Corrective and Preventive Action reports.

· Assist the Quality Manager with projects as assigned and follow written quality systems directives issued by the Quality Manager.

· Must possess computer skills including data entry and retrieval.

· Assists during quality system audits at the facility.

· Proven ability to organize time, prioritize projects and maintain records accurately and completely good numeric aptitude.

· Computer operation for data entry and report generation; understanding of product components to facilitate inspection process.

Qualifications

· 1-2 years of experience preferred

· High school degree or GED preferred

· Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor

· Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
