Graphic Packaging-Visalia manufactures and distributes paper cups and plastic lids for the food service industry and is currently recruiting for the following position.

JOB TITLE: 2nd Shift Shipping Receiving Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Warehouse

WORK SCHEDULE: 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Midnight)

Pay : $25.25

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to receive, verify, enter and record shipping and receiving data into the inventory control system. This information may consist of packing slips, bills of lading, purchase order receipts, or spreadsheets containing pertinent information.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will also perform duties as a Shipping/Receiving Forklift operator such as: pull orders of product from bays within the warehouse area and load the product into trucks to be shipped to the customer. Unload product from trucks to be stored in bays within the warehouse area. This is to be done with the use of an industrial powered truck such as a forklift and box clamp lift.

All employees must follow all Graphic Packaging International work rules, code of conduct and safety procedures and policies including wearing personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, hearing protection and safety goggles.

WORK DEVICES/TOOLS consist of the following: Computer, Standard Office Equipment/Supplies, Gloves, Utility Knives, Pallet Jacks, Forklift

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • 3 years + recent experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts) required.

  • Must be able to climb in/out of the forklift on a frequent basis throughout the work shift. There is one step up/down into/out of the cab of the forklift

  • Must be able to walk around throughout the shipping/receiving bays; surfaces are mostly concrete

  • Must be able to perform pushing/pulling activities when performing work activities

  • Must be able to bend throughout the work shift; majority of bending occurs

in a slight forward bend for brief periods of times. This may be performed on a repetitive basis

  • Must be able toreach between waist and shoulder height which occurs on a continuous basis. Reachingoverhead and below waist level occurs on an occasional basis.

  • Must be able to lift/lower/carry boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. Lifting overhead/lowering from overhead can occur on an occasional basis.

  • Must have the ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Must have computer experience and be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer software/applications

  • Overtime will be required as necessary including weekends. Graphic Packaging International operates on a 24 hour, 7 day/week basis.
