The Opportunity

Grass Valley is undergoing an exciting transformation as we implement our GV Media Universe cloud first strategy. We’re looking for an exceptional marketing leader to support this transformation with a compelling and innovative marketing agenda. As Vice President (VP) of Marketing Communications you will direct and oversee all company marketing activities. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of an effective marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals.

This job is open to Canada, United States and Europe.

Your Role

  • Develop and deliver a data driven marketing strategy that delivers strong customer engagement and support GV’s business goals through innovative and compelling content and programs.

  • Establish and implement design standards that bring GV’s brand identity to life through inventive visual and written language and multi-media.

  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels

  • Create a market leading digital presence through web, SEO/SEM, email, social media campaigns.

  • Manage GV’s Public Relations program working with PR agency.

  • Manage GV’s event, tradeshow, and sponsorship programs.

  • Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).

  • Work closely with the sales department and other internal stakeholders to align sales and marketing strategies

  • Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team handling product marketing, communications, digital/social, PR, design, and events.

  • Manage third party contractors and agencies

  • Manage marketing budget and expenditures

    What you Have to Offer

  • Extensive experience in marketing.

  • Business / marketing university degree.

  • Ability to understand complex market problems and articulate our value propositions in a concise and engaging manner (verbally and in writing).

  • Familiarity with sales enablement programs designed for improving sales productivity and closing rates.

  • Strong inter-personal and leadership skills for communication with customers and cross-functional teams.

  • Superior writing and presentation skills

  • Must be highly organized and dependable, with the ability and confidence to manage multiple projects simultaneously and generate content independently

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Willingness to travel, up to 30% of the time.
