Position Reporting to the President & CEO of the organization, the VP of HR will shape and administer practical HR strategy to support a diverse and engaging culture of performance within the organization. This role, which functions as an individual HR contributor and serves on the company’s Executive team, is perfect for a tenured, highly collaborative HR Director who is ready for the next step. This position will be based in our Plano, TX corporate office. Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field Previous role as a business partner supporting senior leaders 8-10 years of HR experience is required, and 5+ years working in Hospitality is desired Strong MS Office program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge is required Previous experience with ATS, PEO, payroll and health plan carrier platforms is preferred Qualifications Proven track record of implementing HR strategies that drive positive change and business growth. Critical thinker, solution-oriented, flexible, can move change quickly and is willing to roll-up his/her sleeves to get things done. Motivator with strong character and judgement that will maintain strict confidentiality and act with a high-level of integrity and emotional intelligence Outstanding time-management, communication and presentation skills Thorough understanding of US labor and employment law. Ability to manage and administer health and 401K benefit plans, as well as the broker and PEO relationship Responsibilities Culture & Growth -Partner with senior leadership in the implementation HR strategies that will drive an engaged culture of performance. -Build a robust understanding of ALHI, our team, our business model and our industry to ensure that HR strategy is developed to align with business and growth objectives Talent Acquisition -Develop talent acquisition strategy that ensures highly qualified, diverse candidates are hired and effectively onboarded -Administer ATS platform for creating and posting jobs, reviewing applications and scheduling screening interviews and curating interview short-list for hiring managers -Create compelling and accurate job descriptions, update as required -Create pre-employment benefit literature to share with final candidates -Facilitate the communication of new hires to appropriate departments for the successful onboarding to systems, programs and training -Design and implement engaging new employee orientation materials and presentation for new hires HR Strategy/ Employee Relations -Oversee performance and compensation management initiatives and evaluate current trends and data within the industry and geographic regions. -Mentor managers in navigating talent development, engagement and performance programs and tools. -Establish program for on-going, regular reach-outs to team members to foster engagement and deepen work relationships -Manage employee recognition and retention strategies -Enable open communication and collaboration across the entire organization, considering both in-person and remote workers Compliance -Develop policies and procedures to achieve organizational efficiency and effectiveness, as well as compliance with state and federal law and guidelines -Conduct investigations and develop recommendations and solutions to remedy issues -Administer leave of absences, unemployment claims and workers compensation -Manage verification of employment inquiries, both verbal and written Benefits -Administer health and wellness benefit programs- medical, dental, vision, LTD, 401K plan, COBRA, and paid time off programs -Assist employees with benefit inquiries -Maintain carrier, broker, and PEO relationships Additional -Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the President & Chief Executive Officer
