Training Specialist - Remote

Location NATIONAL

Position Summary:

The Training Specialist, under the leadership of the Training Manager, will support the process to design, create and deliver learning and development materials as well as provide business essential, cost effective, learning services to the associates, clients, and business units of ActionLink. The Specialist will oversee the administration for our community platform, support employee education and development, drive brand awareness, create online and live training content, and facilitate training classes to help the organization meet specific business and operational objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administer training by assigning training as needed, password resets, and troubleshooting other errors preventing employees from taking the training.

  • Prepare training material such as; eLearnings, presentations, job aides, and other supportive material to educate and inspire employee

  • Develop dynamic, interactive, and engaging eLearning course content that may include synchronized voiceover narration with animation and/or video

  • Consult with managers/team leaders to assess needs and to clarify expectations and objectives

  • Identify target audiences and work with SMEs to ensure learning objectives are appropriate for their needs

  • Perform quality assurance checks on training courses that have been developed and update as needed

  • Manage the protocols for all online courses to include curricula, learning plans, competencies, etc.

  • Moderate community engagement and drive conversations

  • Work with the Training team and IT to ensure all necessary equipment are made available

  • Work with Training team to develop effective communication strategies for employee awareness

  • Generate training reports, such as completions and certifications based on projects

  • Manage dashboards and hierarchy within the community platform

  • Participate at training sessions to develop in key areas: adult learning, design, and technology

  • Brainstorm appropriate activities, approaches and/or methodologies to achieve learning objectives

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum of 3 years working in training or education preferred

  • Bachelor's degree preferred orequivalent experience in a relevant field

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Proficient in video conferencing via Teams, Zoom or other platform

  • Experience with current software and industry tools/skills preferred:

  • Video and Narration

  • Rapid E-learning development such as Articulate, Blackboard, Captivate

  • Adobe creative cloud applications

  • Graphic design

  • Mobile deployment

  • Social media

  • Instructional Design or ADDIE concepts

  • Project management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment

  • Highly organized, punctual and responsible

  • Driven and problem-solver; analytical

  • Business and results oriented person

  • Ability to speak in public is a plus

  • Retail experience is a plus

Working Environment:

Corporate Offices of ActionLink and/or remotely.

Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment

  • Must be mobile and able to sit and/or stand for periods of time
