Allegient Defense is a leader in advanced technology research and solutions development, and we are growing quickly. We are seeking a Technology Transition Manager to provide project management, acquisition, and business and financial operations support the Office of Naval Research.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist in the development of transition plans, strategies and budgets.

  • Analyze and evaluate program plans to identify improvements in transition strategies.

  • Coordinate program efforts among government program managers and the contracted technical task performers.

  • Analyze and evaluate program, proposals and plans, and program metrics to identify improvements.

  • Coordinate program efforts among Government Program Managers; organize information associated with product development and transition of research to prototyping, field testing, and acquisition.

  • Prepare and draft analyses, presentations, speeches, and reports relative to project and program management goals, objectives and results.

  • Assist in reviewing program status reports and assess progress.

  • Develop documentation necessary to support the acquisition, funding, monitoring and close-out of contracts and grants.

  • Identify and review emerging requirements and opportunities for transition in areas related to ONR's objectives for selected technology programs.

  • Facilitate dialogue and interface with key decision makers and their staffs (e.g., Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV), and Joint Staffs, Warfare Centers, System Commands, Program Executive Offices), Navy, Marine Corps and Joint technology needs, development, and acquisition working groups, and among various technical subject matter experts.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a governmentSecret Clearance.

  • BA or BS degree in a related field preferred.

  • Ten (10) years of naval experience preferred.

  • Experience in supporting long-term projects and short-term tasks.

  • Experience in developing, executing, and monitoring project plans, and assembling and organizing information associated with product development and transition of applied and advanced development research to prototyping, field testing, and acquisition.

  • Experience in S&T program development and management.
