Our Home Furniture business brings an intense focus on the customer, innovation, world-class manufacturing capabilities, and a global footprint together to create full-package solutions for the industry. As aTechnical Sales Representativeyou will be responsible for supporting key trendsetter customer base, assisting with implementing value propositions and unmet needs. The Technical Sales Representative will promote Home Furniture as the leading full solution innovative provider consistent with our strategic product and partnership direction.

This is a remote opportunity, with a preference given to candidates within the following states: Mississippi, North Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky or Indiana

So, what will you be doing as a Technical Sales Representative?

Technical Tasks

• Product Knowledge and Support

o Develop a deep understanding of furniture mechanisms and components.

o Provide technical support to customers and the sales team, including troubleshooting issues with furniture mechanisms.

• Technical Documentation

o Create and maintain detailed product documentation, including manuals, assembly instructions, and technical specifications.

o Ensure documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible to both internal teams and customers.

• Data Analysis and Reporting

o Analyze sales and usage data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

o Help generate reports for strategies and decision making.

• CRM and Sales Tools Management

o Help implement and manage and optimize the use of a CRM.

o Help train the sales team on new features and best practices of using these tools.

• Technical Presentations and Demos

o Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers.

o Highlight the benefits and unique features of the furniture mechanisms and other furniture components.

• Quality Assurance

o Conduct quality checks on furniture mechanisms to ensure they meet company standards.

o Work with the quality assurance team and engineers to address any technical issues that arise.

• PD Support

o Collaborate with product development team to provide input on new product designs and improvements.

o Assist in testing and evaluation of new products before they go to market.

• Customer Feedback and Improvement

o Gather and analyze customer feedback on furniture mechanisms and components.

o Propose technical improvements based on customer feedback and industry trends.

• Training and Development

o Assist in developing training materials and programs for both internal staff and customers.

o Assist in conducting training sessions on the technical aspects of furniture mechanisms and components.

• Travel Required

o Up to 50% domestic and international

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Business, Engineering, Operations, or other relevant bachelor’s degree preferred

• 2-5 years of technical sales experience preferably in the home furnishings industry, in B-to-B manufacturing sales environment preferred

• Ability to partner with leadership on sales strategy and execution.

• Ability to retain current customer business and strategically target and win new business.

• Deep understanding of consumer driven end markets (preferably in the “Home” markets)

• Ability to craft appropriate business focused messages to and from the customer

• Create and deliver presentations

• Ability to uncover and solve business problems with key accounts

• Data analytics and interpreting data

• Ability to communicate

• Strategic thinking

• Research and investigate business trends
