Red Hat Strategic Account Manager in United States

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Global Account Executive to join our Telco, Media, and Entertainment team. In this role, you will lead and grow the business within a global strategic account through direct sales and close collaboration with our channel team. You'll oversee the globally focused Telco, Media, and Entertainment team, which contains industry experts in business development, marketing, and partner management, technical architects, solutions sales specialists, and dedicated sales and presales teams in key locations across the U.S. region. As a Global Account Manager, you will accelerate the development and implementation of a multi-year strategy to rapidly grow revenue within the strategic account. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Red Hat's recognized area sales leader for a large strategic account, guiding direct activity with the customer and partnering with the network equipment providers (NEPs), independent software vendor (ISV) partners, and global system integrators (GSIs) within North America (NA)

  • Lead and manage a team of sales account managers and solutions architects, as well as business development management and marketing associates and specialists

  • Lead partner and alliance managers, inside sales representatives, and other support associates on the U.S. level in matrixed reporting lines for the Telco, Media, and Entertainment team

  • Be directly responsible for revenue and expense targets

  • Develop a go-to-market strategy in close alignment with the global Telco, Media, and Entertainment lead and key stakeholders of the Products and Technologies (PnT) team, regional sales executives, and Global Services and Partner teams

  • Develop strategy that deliver consistent and focused field fulfillment, including key wins across the targeted global service providers (GSPs) and identified partners

  • Continue to evolve the sales area service from coverage, structure, and talent perspective

  • Foster mindset and orientation that ensures growth in deal size; serve as an expert adviser on commercial arrangements and frameworks that ensure Red Hat's ongoing sales success, especially on key opportunities

  • Partner with other teams, like marketing and operations teams, to continuously guide internal processes and standards forward

  • Provide organizational vision and identify areas for expansion

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of telco-specific industry experience and expertise

  • 10+ years of sales experience consistently meeting or exceeding targets

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the entire sales process from start to closure

  • Ability to successfully navigate a complex matrix sales team

  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills

  • Willingness to continually learn through workshops, seminars, and conferences

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to effectively persuade at all levels

The salary range for this position is $234,710.00 - $387,420.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
