RadarFirst Staff Attorney in United States

We are seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team. The Staff Attorney will work across functions and teams at RadarFirst as a trusted partner to proactively facilitate the efficient negotiation, execution and tracking of contracts and meet corporate compliance objectives, with a focus on client service, professionalism, confidentiality, superior organizational and prioritization skills, and a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will possess significant experience in drafting and negotiating a high volume of SaaS contracts, with a particular emphasis on subscription and services agreements. This position reports to the General Counsel.

We are headquartered in Portland, OR, but primarily work remote. We are looking for someone that is eligible to practice in Oregon in accordance with the House Counsel rules of the Oregon State Bar.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of contracts for Go To Market, Engineering, Marketing, and other internal business partners, including master subscription agreements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, and other business agreements.

  • Create new and update existing contract templates and playbooks to create new efficiencies in the contracting process.

  • Manage contract database and indexing functions. Ensure fully executed contracts are properly entered into the contracts management system and Security and Compliance trackers, and update information as required.

  • Act as a liaison between internal business partners, legal department, and external counsel as necessary for contract drafting, negotiations, processes, and inquiries.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain RadarFirst policies, procedures and contract templates and provide education and training to internal clients. Coordinate with the internal Compliance team to support customer and prospect vendor risk assessments.

  • Develop contract portfolio for eventual M&A and sale of company.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from accredited US law school and admission in good standing to the bar of at least one state. Must be eligible to practice in Oregon in accordance with the House Counsel rules of the Oregon State Bar.

  • Exceptional contract drafting and negotiation skills. Conversant in Legal AI is a plus.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts, in particular SaaS agreements; prior in-house experience as a member of a legal department is a plus.

  • Experience operating in a highly regulated environment is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, problem-solve and operate in a fast-paced environment, effectively and professionally managing the needs of different departments within the business.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from multiple departments at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent professionalism and interpersonal skills with sound judgment and commitment to ethical conduct.

  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information using excellent discretion and judgment.

  • Strong computer skills and experience with AI, contract management systems, and electronic signature systems.

  • Discretion and good business judgment, to recognize and handle situations requiring escalation.

  • Business partner orientation and ability to recognize and to respond quickly, clearly, and pragmatically to urgent situations.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that are demonstrated by being articulate, empathetic, and candid, and serving as a collaborative and decisive team member and a strategic thinker with a broad perspective.

The salary range for this role is $145,000 - $165,000 a year.
