CafeMedia Sr. Software Engineer - Ad Code Team in United States

This position can be in-office in New York City or work-from-home. Remote U.S. candidates encouraged to apply.

The Senior Software Engineer on our Ad Code Team will be responsible for the development and architectural design of our Ad Code product deployed across 3,000+ sites and reaching over 170 million monthly unique users. You will play a key role in architecting for optimal code delivery, establishing design patterns, code organization, and leveraging browser capabilities to maximize application performance, speed, and maintainability. As a senior member of the team, you will communicate your ideas, share knowledge, act as a mentor, and serve as a technical lead to efficiently deliver features and meet team goals.

Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years experience designing and implementing JavaScript-based libraries and frameworks (i.e. not just web interfaces)

  • 4+ years experience with ad serving technology, including DFP/GAM, header bidding, and/or Prebid.js

    Experience with the following:

  • JavaScript frameworks and the latest ECMAScript standards for web application. Angular2 and Typescript are a plus.

  • Making architectural and design-related decisions for large scale applications/frameworks.

  • Utilizing build tools like Webpack, Rollup, and/or Babel

  • Developing software in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment (2-3 week sprint cycles)

  • Purpose driven debugging skills through the utilization of multiple tools

  • Utilizing data analysis and data driven decision making to effectively improve development processes and decrease inefficiencies

  • Experience with JW Player and Video is a plus

  • A deep understanding of WordPress a plus
