YOUR ROLE

  • Successfully manage accounts resulting in year-on-year growth in sales and profitability commensurate with focus on providing technical sales support and saturating business potential within accounts. This field sales engineer will cover the territory of northern Ohio.

  • Formulation and execution of regularly updated written account strategies and forecasts. In order to achieve this, the incumbent must continuously assess the state of the market, including the need for new technologies, changes in market direction, competitive intelligence, Henkel's strengths and weaknesses, including growth projections, account needs, and our share of the respective market.

  • Responsible for timely and accurate tasks supporting the account strategy including qualification and implementation of products to meet customer requirements, forecast updates, maintenance of the project management system, coordination of account reviews, preparation of laboratory work requests, customer line audits and service visit reports, and trouble-shooting.

  • Continuously update professional selling and leadership skills to keep pace with the practical daily business use of business software and communication equipment and to acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Henkel products and their application in customer processes.

YOUR SKILLS

  • BS/BA in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 + years of relevant technical sales, laboratory or manufacturing experience and a progressive record of self-starting results.

  • Knowledge of automated control equipment and high-speed manufacturing operations strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 70%, depending on location of home-based office.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills.

The salary for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
