Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

To manage the inventory planning process, external distribution cent er s , freight suppliers and freight payment supplier to ensure smooth, effective, and compliant logistics operations . Provide data to support business decision & presentations along with the analysis and monitoring of spending , performance , KPIs and data . It is a focal point for operational performance and delivering customer excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

An active participant in the business Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP) collaborating and coordinating cross functionally with the commercial and financial organisations to align supply and demand requirements to increase product and service differentiation, cost reduction and profitability.

Utilize the business systems for replenishment planning for EMEA warehouses inventory planning and processes and the external distribution center operations to meet internal and external customer requirements.

Coordinate information and allocate stock to orders that maintain inventory levels and meet customer requirements within agreed business terms: FEFO, lot sizes, special agreements, forecast, target inventory, lead times and warehouse resources.

Utilize strong analytical and software skills to gather, report, present and respond to data.

Maintain accurate inventory control and stock records through analysis of stock records, cycle counts and physical stock audits performed internally and externally.

Ensure system operational efficiency and effectiveness targets are met and reported: KPIs, performance management.

Support the management and supplier quality and compliance to GDP requirements of the EMEA warehouses, freight and freight payment suppliers through SOPs, performance KPIs, reporting, audit of data & records, process reviews, review meetings and participation in RFQs.

Work closely with QA to manage and measure supplier incidents, deviations and complaints following the internal QMS system.

Utilise strong communication skills and relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business: logistics, planning, sales and marketing, manufacturing, quality, DC Centers, transportation.

Recommend continuous improvement opportunities, solutions and suggestions that create value to the business and support excellent service to internal and external customers.

To be actively involved in projects for continuous improvement, cost savings, problem solving and development. Create value to the business, look to best practices, develop systems and processes, improve productivity, and support excellent service to internal and external customers.

Provide cover for absence within capabilities and authorisation and to assist other team members with workload imbalance or critical tasks.

To perform other duties or responsibilities identified as pertinent to the job or company.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Higher education in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business with graduate level preferred.

  • Strong computer skills in the latest MS Office suite including data analysis tools.

Experience

  • 3+ years professional experience

  • Previous planning and inventory management experience

  • Knowledge of distribution, logistics, warehousing and international transportation in a highly regulated industry.

  • Experience in meeting KPIs and deadlines in a highly competitive international business environment.

  • Experience in coordinating and analysing budgets and forecasts.

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting and presentation

  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.

  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma concepts

  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgement.
