Legrand North America Sr. Electronic Engineering Technician in United States

Position Description At a Glance Legrand *has an exciting opportunity for a *Senior Electronic Engineering Technicianto join the Starline Team in Canonsburg PA. The Senior Electrical Engineer Technician role is to provide technical support for the creation and maintenance of embedded electronic devices. What Will You Do? MAIN JOB DUTIES: * Create and improve validation plans for hardware and firmware specifications * Maintain and expand upon custom built test systems. * Lead electrical and mechanical testing to support new product development. * Provide technical support to customer facing departments * Assemble prototypes, test, and recommend design improvements. * Create technical documentation such as test plans, test records, and work instructions. * Partner with Production, Quality, and Purchasing staff to assure product manufacturability. * Collaboration with certification laboratories such as UL, CSA and Intertek (ETL) as well as various international agencies. * Maintain laboratory equipment ## Qualifications Required Skills EDUCATION: * Technical degree in electronics EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 7 years of experience as an Engineering Technician SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES: * Proficiency with electrical theory in DC and three-phase AC power distribution. * Proficiency with 2D CAD tools, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems. * Knowledge of circuit boards including solder and rework, processors, chips, electronic equipment. * Expert user of laboratory equipment, including power suppliers, DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc. ## Company Info About Legrand Every single day, Legrand brings power, light and datato millions of spaces around the world.
